MD Quantity Surveyors (Pty) Ltd is a Professional Quantity Surveying practice situated in Klerksdorp, North West. We started in February 2021 and went from strength to strength with a dynamic young approach, with many years of experience obtained from international and national firms through the years.
As a practice, MD Quantity Surveyors (Pty) Ltd has undertaken a wide variety of projects in both the traditional building industry and the heavy engineering industry. The client list is vast and encompasses major South African companies and institutions e.g., Life Healthcare Group, AngloGold Ashanti, Harmony, NWK Limited, Sunningdale Hospital, Logistics Operations, etc.

We have various quality management tools in place to ensure that the required standards are being maintained and that constant improvement is being carried out.
Completion of standard procedural check lists is a normal part of the various phases of Quantity Surveying service within our office.

Our Approach
Once MD Quantity Surveyor (Pty) Ltd has been appointed, we would follow a mobilization programme as follows:
- Familiarize ourselves with all key personnel from the client body and consultants;
- Appoint a senior person to take charge of the project on a full-time basis;
- Allocate senior, suitable professional quantity surveyors to the various disciplines;
- Design the estimating formats most suitable to the project and adaptable to the Client’s methods and preferences;
- Design the framework and detail of the most effective cost monitoring system including formats of report documentation;
- Establish communication and reporting channels with the Client and related role players;
- Appoint and establish the complete MD Quantity Surveyors team for the labor-intensive production of procurement documentation;
- Confirm and establish a project team for the administration phase of the development.
A project number is allocated for any work undertaken.
The project is registered in our electronic project book on a centralised server.
A standard filing structure for storage on our server will be created.
Daily backups of all documentation are made and saved on the server.
Hard copies of all our completed projects are stored for a minimum period of 5 years.
